Description
Our client has a requirement to recruit a Senior Corrosion/Corrosion Engineer to provide support in the corrosion and metallurgical related issues in connection with subsurface structures, pipelines, down hole tubulars and remote tie backs and on appointed installations in relation to topside process facilities and risers. Duties include: Responsible for assisting in the preparation and communication of the quarterly and annual corrosion review reports. Maintenance of the Installation Corrosion Monitoring and Mitigation policies. Ensure that material failure investigation and root cause analysis are carried out where considered necessary and that any implication with respect to integrity is reported accordingly. Revision of all Inspection strategies with respect to corrosion related issues. Maintaining the integrity of Hydrocarbon pressure envelope and associated structures. Additional Requirements
Candidates should possess the following qualifications/experience:
Degree/Post Graduate qualification in a relevant technical or science discipline
Chartered/Incorporated status desirable Extensive experience in a Corrosion/Materials environment and relevant experience within the offshore oil and gas production industry
Knowledge of relevant legislation and its offshore influences
Ability to use initiative and direct and guide other team members
Strong interpersonal/client facing skills
Report writing experience with strong attention to details.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to use bespoke databases
Ability to travel offshore if/when required
Applicants wishing to be considered for the Senior Corrosion Engineer role should possess all the above qualifications/experience and have a minimum of 7 years Corrosion/Materials environment with 5 years in a Corrosion Management role.
