This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the leading drilling contractors operating in the world today.

They currently have Land Rig Operations in Algeria, and are looking for experienced Operational and Country Managers to help with the day to day running of the operation, and to win more contracts for other rigs.

There are 2 roles, both with similar duties. The main responsibility will be ensuring that the existing rigs are drilling in accordance with the client’s requirements, and that work is carried out safely and efficiently. There will be extensive involvement in liaising with individuals and representatives from the client, government, service contractors and other relevant people. Responsibility for expenditure, budgets and contractual agreements will also be a large part of each role.

For both roles it is essential that the candidate comes from a solid drilling background. Knowledge of modern drilling equipment such as high horse power rigs, joystick and cyberchair control, and the more difficult well types is essential. Candidates will most likely have qualified for their IADC or IWCF certificate, and will have progressed through to a managerial level working on rigs.

Communication is essential for this position, and candidates must be able to converse fluently in both English and French.
