Description
We have been assigned by our client to source an experienced Marine Engineer to compliment their team and contribute to their success and impressive growth plans. The company are a global organisation with several interesting business divisions, this role is a staff position in Aberdeen. You are likely to be an experienced Marine engineer who has worked offshore on DP vessels for at least 2 - 3 years or more, you should be at Chief Engineer level, not necessary formally qualified, though this would command higher money. Your experience will include DP2 or DP3, North Sea and ideally support vessels. You may be a person not happy with fulltime / rotational offshore work and be looking to move to a shore based role.

Additional Requirements
The role requires someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills to see you involved with:
* DP FMEA and FMECA development
* DP FMEA and FMECA proving trials development
* DP assurance audits & aIMCA CMID surveys
* DP incident investigation
* DP Vessel suitability and upgrade reviews
* Charter suitability studies
* Saturation diving system desigbn audits
* Risk studies including HAZID, HAZOP & FMEA Experience in all of the above is not essential, just an overview of the scope of work. More important is your offshore work so you understand the above. However, if you've got the above experience, great. The role is predominantly shore based in Aberdeen with occassional offshore work for 2 - 3 days at a time, or less. In addition to a competitive salary there is a benefits package including Medical, Health, Death in Service, Long Term Illness cover, Bonus of 8% of base, 33 days holiday etc. You must be in the UK currently and be eligible to work here with no restrictions. The client will consider relocation but only within the UK.
